Our First Aid Classes are available for children from as young as 3 years old. Both our Early Years (ages 3-6) and Kids classes (7-11) have won awards and provide children with the basic first aid knowledge required for a first aid emergency.
You can book onto a public class at a local venue, or you can enquire about classes to take place in schools, clubs or privately arranged venues.
Mini First Aid Early Years classes are for children aged 3-6 and work with the Early Years Curriculum. Children learn about what happens to their bodies if they are hurt and how they would be treated by a grown up.
There are 2 classes available;
After each class children will receive a certificate for attending. The award-winning classes are loved by all.
Mini First Aid Kids is designed for children aged 7-11. Children are starting to be more independent and can understand basic first aid. In the 1-hour session, Children learn to deal with bumps, burns, breaks and bleeding, carry out CPR and deal with choking. The class is practical, lots of fun and involves lots of activities for the children to enjoy. A favourite with schools and voluntary groups, the class can also be organised for private groups.
Jodie came and gave a fantastic session at my house last evening which my friends and family found very informative and enjoyable. Jodie is very knowledgeable in what she does and we all felt that we had learnt some really useful and important safety techniques. Would highly recommend Jodie’s class if you are a mum to be or parents. Thank you so much xx
I cannot recommend Mini First Aid enough. Kate ran a private class for me and my 11 year old daughter in the comfort of our own home, which was perfect especially as my babies are due any day now. My daughter and I feel much more confident in knowing what to do in a range of emergency situations and I also got some extra twin tips from Kate as a fellow twin Mum! It's such an important life skill that every parent and carer should have so I would urge you to book a Mini First Aid course today.
I took part in the two hour course this morning and cannot recommend it enough! I’m already trained in child first aid due to my job, but I’m about to become a mother and wanted some information on first aid for babies. The trainer was so friendly and made the class really enjoyable. She was able to make me feel more confident in dealing with possible baby injuries and my own knowledge of coping with different situations. A bargain at £20 for peace of mind, thank you!
Had a session with 6 friends/family yesterday evening and really enjoyed the class. Very informative but also laid back making it easier for everyone to join in. The information and demonstrations have made me feel more confident with dealing with situations that may arise with my newborn baby both now and as he gets older. The thought of him choking scared me to death before last night to the point that I was dreading the weaning off milk time but after the session I feel more at ease with it knowing that I would know what to do if the situation arose. Jodie is a lovely person and I would definitely recommend this class to others.
"We are so glad we have done a Mini First Aid class. We enjoyed the class, found it really useful and feel so much more prepared in the build up to having our baby.”
It was a pleasure meeting Kate and Jacky from Mini First Aid and being taught what to do in case of an emergency. Learning CPR and what to do when a child is choking is invaluable. Obviously, I hope I never had to use the things I learned in today’s class, but horrible things happen and knowing these techniques can really make a huge difference. The class was fun and accessible given the seriousness of the topic. I would highly recommend everyone doing it.
There are a gazillion things I never seem to get around to doing (fixing the broken blind in our bedroom, getting some photos printed of ‘the baby’ who is almost two but still doesn’t exist on our walls, pinning down the coffee date I’ve been promising my neglected friend via WhatsApp for at least 6 months…) BUT this morning I finally got my arse in gear and ticked off something from my ‘Really Must Do’ list by attending a First Aid class designed specifically for parents, grandparents and carers of babies and young children. It took just two hours out of my morning and covered a whole host of stuff including what to do if a child is choking, how to deal with burns/breaks/bleeding and the basics of life-saving CPR for kids.
The Mini First Aid Class (filmed for ITVBe) was a fantastic class, both Arg and I found it a really good and informative session
Knowing you already Jodie I know how knowledgable, capable and passionate you are so not surprised at all at how good the session was today! Really impressed and would highly recommend to anyone! Great balance between professional delivery of important information and informality, meaning the group were comfortable to ask lots of questions which were all confidently answered, and share personal experiences. I definitely feel better informed and more confident that I would know what to do should I need to. Thank you xx
